It was claimed that these were not cases of coronavirus.
A case of fever has occurred in China’s neighboring Yangon province.
Pyongyang. North Korea’s state media reported Thursday that an outbreak of an unknown fever has occurred in an area bordering China. However, it was claimed that these were not cases of corona virus. On which North Korea announced full control this month. North Korea’s official news agency KCNA reported this information in a Reuters news report. The State Emergency Epidemic Prevention Headquarters was quoted as saying that on Tuesday, four cases of fever were reported in Yangon Province, bordering China.
Suspecting that they had contracted a deadly epidemic, the authorities immediately sealed off the area and began gathering medical teams. For now, a detailed analysis of the nationwide pandemic situation has revealed that there have been no cases of Covid-19 in the country since the start of the corona pandemic earlier this month. Nevertheless, the authorities sent experts in epidemiology, virology and testing to the area to investigate the cause of the fever cases. However, measures are being taken to prevent the spread of the fever.
KCNA said the authorities are taking steps to keep all people associated with suspected fever cases and those traveling to the affected areas under strict medical supervision. Notably, after North Korea declared victory over Covid-19, South Korea blamed the pandemic for the outbreak. North Korea has also vowed to retaliate. However, South Korea called the claim baseless.
NORTH KOREA: Amid another epidemic of coronavirus infections, medicine is being sent to many areas
North Korea has never said how many people have been infected with the virus. This is because it lacks the means to run large-scale experiments. North Korea instead reported the daily number of fever patients, which rose to nearly 47.7 million. North Korea has since claimed that no new such cases have been recorded since July 29.
