    Missing helicopter crashes in Nepal, 5 dead, debris found in mountains

Villagers recovered five dead bodies. Besides, DIG Bastola said, “The recovered bodies are yet to be identified.” Please be advised that a Nepalese Manang Air helicopter went missing near Mount Everest on Tuesday.

    Communication with the control system was lost 15 minutes after takeoff.
    There were six people on board the helicopter. Tribhuvan International Airport General Manager Pratap Babu Tiwari said the 9N-AMV helicopter lost contact just 15 minutes after take-off. The ‘Kathmandu Post’ newspaper quoted Nepal’s Civil Aviation Authority information officer Gyanendra Bhul as saying that the helicopter left Solukhumbu’s Surki at 9.45 am for the capital Kathmandu.

    The helicopter had 6 passengers including five foreigners
    The ‘Himalayan Times’ newspaper quoted a source as saying that according to initial reports, a total of six people were on board the helicopter, including pilot Chet Gurung. Nepal’s Ministry of Civil Aviation tweeted that six people were on board the helicopter. Among which there were five passengers and a captain. Altitude Air helicopters have been dispatched from Kathmandu for search and rescue. Let us tell you that in January this year, a plane crashed in Nepal, killing around 70 people.

    The Yeti Airlines flight was carrying passengers from Kathmandu to Pokhara, carrying 72 passengers including crew members. The plane fell in the gorge of the river.
