Transparent Vistadom coach will run on Kalka-Shimla railway line, do you know what preparations are there?

New Delhi. There is good news for those traveling on the Kalka-Shimla toy train. The Ministry of Railways is preparing to run Vistadom coaches on this line. Through the transparent Vistadom coach, tourists can see nature up close. 30 coaches will be prepared for this. The Ministry of Railways has also fixed the possible deadline for construction. These coaches have to be ready by December 2021, so that these coaches can travel early next year.

According to Railway Ministry officials, preparations are being made to install Vistadom coaches to make the journey of Kalka-Shimla toy train more attractive. At present, Vistadom coaches have been installed on the Janshatabdi Express running between Ahmedabad and Kevadia. This coach has remained a special attraction for tourists. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the issue. The Ministry of Railways will prepare 30 Vistadom coaches. All these will be made in Kapurthala railway factory. However, the earlier Vistadom coach was made in ICF Chennai. This coach will be LHB (Linke Hoffmann Busch).

According to railway officials, since it is a toy train, the number of seats will be kept low. Each coach will probably have 24 to 30 seats. The train will run between Shimla and Kalkar and there is no heat, so these coaches will be non-AC. Its seats will be convenient, extra space and 180 degree rotation. That means the seat can be rotated in the direction in which the train will run. Besides, preparations are being made to increase its speed. The existing toy train is 22 km long. Although the speed of the coach is less, the speed of Vistadom coach can be increased further.
