    The Clean India program will continue with more than 25 monuments and traditions of the country


    New Delhi. Under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azad, Clean India Drive is being run in more than 25 traditional and heritage places across the country. The event, organized by the Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture, will run from October 1 to October 31. The purpose of the campaign is to clean up the heritage and memorials. Especially the plastic needs to be removed. The purpose of the campaign is to motivate the tourists and to promote cleanliness in their respective cities.

    The main programs run under Clean India include Kamakhya Temple Guwahati, Mahabodhi Temple Bihar, Sabarmati Ashram Ahmedabad, Amar Mahal Palace Jammu, Hampi Karnataka, Khajuraho Madhya Pradesh, Puri Orissa, Meenakshi Temple Madurai, Swarna Mandir and Javarwaz. And Hari Ki Pauri is included in the Haridwar tradition. In this campaign which is going on in 25 states and union territories, Gandhi Ashram Champaran Bihar, India Gate, Lal Kella Delhi, Somnath Temple and Porbandar Gujarat, Brahma Sarovar Kurukshetra Haryana, Mahakaleshwar Ujjain, August Kranti Maidan, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and many more. And will conduct memorial campaigns. Organizations involved in the campaign include NYKS, NSS, Youth Club.

    Anurag Tagore took part in the campaign in Delhi

    Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Tagore took part in the Clean India campaign with volunteers at Humayun’s mausoleum in Delhi. Originally aimed at collecting and removing plastic waste, the campaign is being run across the country to commemorate the nectar festival of independence. Usha Sharma, Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, and senior officials of the Ministry and volunteers from the Nehru Youth Center Organization (NYKS) and various parties also took part in the campaign. According to Anurag Tagore, in the first 10 days of the campaign, 3 million kg of garbage has been collected across the country through the Transparent India Campaign and it is planned to collect more than 75 lakh kg of garbage across the country before October 31, 2021.
