    Find out what will be the priorities of the Ministry of Civil Aviation now?


    New Delhi. With the new command of the Ministry of Civil Aviation in hand, the ministry’s priority is to provide more facilities to the general public. Therefore, under the UDAN project, more small towns need to be connected by air. Flights will be operated on previously identified routes. Apart from this, 100 previously defined airports will have to be upgraded and modernized through airport development. This information was given by Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation General VK Singh while talking to News18Hindi.

    General VK Singh said the UDAN project would be expanded, connecting smaller towns by air, so that the common man could travel more. At the same time, the modernization of the airport will be given priority in the development, so that the people at the small airport can be given the same facilities as the big airport. The ministry has started preparations for this. A decision in this regard will be taken soon. Many more steps will be taken to facilitate the commuters.

    766 airlines have been identified under the UDAN project

    According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation, 766 air routes have been identified under the UDAN project. With which small towns are being connected by air. So far, flights have been launched on 307 routes under UDAN One, Two and Three. However, flights on 6 routes have been canceled due to technical reasons or lack of passengers. 78 routes have been approved in the past under Flight 4. Under this project, 22 cities in the North East are being connected with cheap air services.

    Route to the benefits of garden planning

    The most profitable route under the UDAN scheme is from Delhi to Darbhanga, in addition to this, lots of passengers are leaving from Darbhanga to Mumbai and Bangalore. On a normal day, flights fly on this route with 98 percent capacity. In addition, more than 90 per cent passengers on 18 routes on 220 routes and more than 60 per cent passengers on 145 routes travel on a normal day. (Before the second wave of flight data corona)
