    French Open: Novak Djokovic set to make history, eyes Rod Laver’s 52-year-old record


    Czech Republic’s unseeded Barbara Krejcikova won the French Open title. Barbara reached the final of a Grand Slam tournament for the first time. In the final, she defeated Russia’s Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in three sets 6-1, 2-6, 6-4. The 29-year-old Russian reached a Grand Slam final 14 years after his Grand Slam debut, but did not win the title. The newcomer won the French Open women’s title for the sixth time in a row. (AP)
