A close member died 5 minutes earlier, then Tsitsipas went on to play his first career Grand Slam final

Paris. World number one tennis player Novak Djokovic won the French Open title for the second time after defeating Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece. Djokovic defeated Tsitsipas 6-7, 2-6, 6-3, 6-2, 6-4 in a five-set match. Tsitsipas won the first two sets and had a reversal once, but the veteran Djokovic came back strongly to win his 19th career Grand Slam title.
It was Tsitsipas’ first Grand Slam final and just 5 minutes before taking to the court for this final, he lost a close family member forever.

Tsitsipas posted on social media that his grandmother had died just before his French Open final against Djokovic. He said Dadi lost her battle with life five minutes before taking to the court for her first Grand Slam final match.
