ICC T20 World Cup: Big shock for Bangladesh, opener Tamim Iqbal has left the tournament

New Delhi. The Bangladesh cricket team has suffered a major setback even before the T20 World Cup to be held in the United Arab Emirates and Dubai this year. Team opener Tamim Iqlab himself has withdrawn from the World Cup. However, he made it clear that he would not retire. Tamim gave this information in a conversation with a Bangladeshi journalist. Tamim played his last T20 match in March 2020 against Zimbabwe. Tamim has not played for Bangladesh in the last 15 T20 matches. In a situation where he feels that the batsmen are playing well in their absence, if they join the team, it will be unfair to them.

According to media reports, Tamim said in a conversation with a Bangladeshi journalist, “I am not retiring yet.” But I will not be available for the T20 World Cup and it is for good reason that the young opener, who has been playing in the last 15-16 T20s. I would come straight to his place and join the team. It would be unfair and I believe he has something much better than me.
