    Roads and ghats in Gujarat are flooded due to heavy rains


    Ahmedabad. Heavy rains in Junagadh, Gujarat, have led to flooding of roads and streets. There is no hope of relief for Gujarat, which is battling heavy rains and floods. The Indian Meteorological Department says heavy to very heavy rains are expected in the state in the next 3-4 days. So far, three people have died in rain-related incidents in the state. NDRF and SDRF teams have been deployed for relief work.

    After warning of heavy rains in many parts, 20 NDRF teams have been deployed, including two from Jamnagar and Rajkot and five from Gujarat. Five Coast Guard teams have been sent to Jamnagar to provide relief. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Saurashtra. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Saurashtra in the next five days, the rain has caused disaster here and rescue work is underway. Where Saurashtra has been given an orange alert today (Tuesday) and a red alert tomorrow.

    The river was flowing in Rajkot and Jamnagar and people in low lying areas had to face the problem of waterlogging. For this reason the departments had to issue alerts and teams of NDRF and SDRF were deployed for rescue and relief activities. According to the district administration, the people of Jamnagar and Rajkot were evacuated with the help of air force helicopters.

    New Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel also visited the affected areas in Jamnagar. He gave this information through the official Twitter handle.
