New Delhi / London. Many countries around the world are concerned about the impact of the upcoming Corona wave on children. Meanwhile, the UK government’s advisory body on vaccines has decided not to vaccinate children aged 12-15 for health reasons. Now the country’s chief medical officer will give his advice in this regard. The Independent Joint Committee on Immunization (JCVI) said, “We believe that the benefits of vaccinating healthy children between the ages of 12 and 15 with the Covid-1 vaccine outweigh its disadvantages.” At the same time, on Friday, a second-third phase trial of biologic e-vaccine among children and adolescents was approved in India.
The name of the company’s vaccine candidate is Corbevax. The government’s biotechnology department provided this information. Clinical trials of this vaccine will be performed on children and adolescents over 5 years of age. CorviVax is being developed in collaboration with the Department of Biotechnology and its PSU Biotechnology Industry Research Assistant Council (BIRAC).
The Drug Inspector General of India has approved the third phase trial after reviewing the data of the Subject Expert Committee (SEC) on the first phase and the second phase clinical trials. “Biologicals has approved the second and third rounds of testing for the Corvax vaccine on children and adults on September 2, 2021,” the DBT said.
