In a tragic incident, a nine-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her father in a drunken state in a village under Khaga Kotwali police circle in Fatehpur district.
The girl was allegedly raped by her father who slept next to her.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (CO) Khaga, Gayadatta Mishra said the accused’s elder brother, who rushed to the spot after hearing cries of torture, had filed a case against the accused who was arrested on Tuesday.
The victim was sent for a medical examination, police said. The girl’s mother died a few years ago.
