Kathmandu. Igor Stemak, the head coach of the Indian football team, believes that despite being unbeaten in two international matches against Nepal, the Indian team has a lot to prove and improve. After a 1-1 draw in the first friendly match between the two countries, India won the second match 2-1 on Sunday with the help of goals from Farooq Chowdhury and captain Sunil Chhetri.
“We have to congratulate the players for their attitude and for winning the match,” Stemack told a news conference after the match. The coach said, ‘I have to especially appreciate the players because they were very patient. We were waiting for the opportunity to score first and as Nepal’s defense spread you know things got easier.
