    Calcutta. Bengaluru FC has alleged that one of their players was subjected to racial slurs during a match against the Indian Air Force in the Durand Cup football tournament. The Indian Super League (ISL) top team said they have taken up the matter with the concerned authorities. The alleged incident took place at Kishore Bharti Sports Complex on Tuesday.

    “Bengaluru FC is aware that a player of the opposing team made racist remarks against one of their players during the Durand Cup match here on Tuesday,” Bengaluru FC said in a statement issued here. The former ISL champions said, “We are here. Contact the concerned authorities in this regard. Our message is clear that there is no place for discrimination and football is for everyone.

    Bengaluru FC beat Indian Air Force 4-0 in this match, thus registering their second win in the Durand Cup. Roy Krishna (9th minute), Sunil Chhetri (23rd), Faisal Ali (71st) and Shiva Shakti (93rd) scored for Bangalore.
