Ragi Barfi Ingredients
Ragi flour- 1 cup
Mawa (Khoya) – 1/2 cup
Milk- 1 cup
Chopped dry fruits – 2 tbsp
Poppy seeds – 1 tsp
Crushed jaggery – 1 cup
Desi ghee – 2 tbsp
Ragi Barfi Recipe
To make ragi barfi full of taste and nutrition, first grind ragi in a mixer to make dough. If you want you can use ragi flour directly from the market. Now take ragi flour in a bowl. Then heat a pan with desi ghee. After the ghee melts, add the chopped dry fruits and fry on low heat. After the dry fruits turn golden, take them out in a bowl and keep aside.
Now grease the base of the plate/tray with ghee. After that sprinkle poppy seeds and keep aside. After that stir fry the ragi flour in the remaining ghee of the pan on low flame. Once the dough is fried well, add powdered jaggery and cook till the jaggery melts. After the jaggery melts add roasted dry fruits to the mixture and mix. Cook until the mixture comes out of the pan.

After the mixture is boiled, place it on a poppy seed plate/tray and spread it evenly around. After that let it cool for a while. Once the mixture has cooled and set, cut into your desired shapes using a knife. Then put it in the fridge for a minute, so that the barfi can set well. Delicious ragi barfi is ready. It can be served to all the people in the house.
