    Ingredients for Gourd Soup
    Gourd- 1/2 kg
    Desi ghee- 1 tsp
    Cumin – 1/2 tsp
    Black pepper – 1 pinch
    Ginger – 1 piece
    Green coriander leaves – 1 tbsp
    Red Chilli – 1 pinch
    Salt – as per taste

    How to make gourd soup
    It is always better to choose green fresh gourd to make gourd soup. First take the soft gourd and peel it using a sieve. After that cut the gourd into pieces. Now take a kadai and heat it with 1 teaspoon of desi ghee on medium heat. When the ghee gets hot and melts, add the cumin seeds and let it grind. When cumin starts to splutter, add bottle gourd and fry on low heat.

    Whether you want the soup thick or thin, add water and cook accordingly. After cooking for 1-2 minutes, add salt to the soup to taste and mix it with a spoon. Next, add finely chopped ginger, black pepper powder, red chili powder to the soup and mix. The soup may take 15 to 20 minutes to cook on low heat. If you don’t like gourd pieces in the soup, crush the ripe bitter gourd with a spoon and grind it well. Your nutritious bottled gourd soup is ready. Serve garnished with green coriander leaves and black pepper powder.
