Mumbai. Late actor Irrfan Khan Babil Khan’s son is also building a career in Bollywood following his father’s footsteps. He is going to start his acting career with the upcoming film ‘Kaala’. The trailer of the film has been released which is still impressing the audience. Meanwhile, Babil talked about his upcoming film and debut. In his recent interview, he expressed his objection to words like ‘launch’ and ‘launch’. Along with this, he also claimed that if he was not the star kid i.e. Irrfan Khan’s son, no one would have cared about him.
‘Kaala’ is a music film. It has Tripti Dimri as the lead actress. This film is being produced under the banner of Anushka Sharma’s company Clean Slate Films. It is directed by Anvita Dutta. The film is all set to release on OTT platform Netflix on December 1.
No one would care if Irrfan Khan didn’t have a son
In a conversation with Film Companion, Babil answered a question saying, “Had I not been Irrfan Khan’s son, no one would have cared about my debut. I would just be an actor trying to get into films, audition and maybe get a part. Being recognized for your work is more than just being recognized by inheritance. I think the words ‘debut’ and ‘launch’ always make the person bigger than the story and the film.”

He further said, “From the beginning I wanted to respect my mother’s upbringing. When I got the film, I was happy that I am playing a supporting role in a female lead film, it is very important for me. He also said, I am not at all comfortable with words like ‘debut’ and ‘launch’. Why would an artist want it? I just don’t know. That’s not me. It bothers me a little.
Reminding you that Irrfan Khan passed away in April 2020 after a two-year long battle with Neuroendocrine Tumor. After the death of his father, Babil has been sharing his old memories on social media. Apart from Babil, Irrfan’s family includes his younger son Ayaan Khan.
