Govind Kumar/Gopalganj. A student drowned while bathing in Gandak river with his friends. The incident took place in Malahi village of Jagiri Tola Panchayat of Jadopur Thana area. The missing student has been identified as Vipul Kumar, Rajendra Singh, a resident of Hajiapur Road. Vipul’s three friends fled after the accident. On the other hand, on getting the news, the family members started commotion.
Police reached the spot and started searching for the missing student with the help of divers. It is said that Vipul had gone out with a bike with three friends. Tell the family members that he is going to play cricket. He then reached Malahi Tola to bathe in the Gandak river. All the four youths parked their bikes on the bank of river Gandak and started bathing. While bathing in the river, Vipul fell into the deep water, later disappeared.
Bipul is the only brother of two sisters.
Relatives said Vipul is the only brother among two sisters. His father is abroad. The family is originally from Badharia in Siwan. Vipul’s mother has been living in Ward No. 11 of Hajiapur Road for 12 years for her children’s education. Relatives have appealed to the officials of the district administration in search of the missing son. On the other hand, a police team is camping at the spot along with Jadopur station chief Vikram Kumar. Vipul is an under-19 student of Jenks Academy and also a fast bowler. Relatives believe that Vipul was thrown out of the house on the pretext of playing cricket.

BJP leader demanded to call NDRF
Relatives said that the missing student in Gandak river used to study abroad. His father works abroad. A day before the accident, he came home on Friday evening for summer vacation. On Saturday morning, he went out of the house with his friends to play cricket and fell into the river and went missing. After getting news of the accident, BJP leader Sunita Singh Kashyap reached the spot along with the family members of the victims. He expressed his dismay at not seeing the SDRF at the spot and demanded the administration to call an SDRF or NDRF team to search for the missing student.
