Pawan Kumar/Rewari: Rewari police have arrested the accused who was absconding for 9 years from Patna in Bihar in the case of girl rape. The police went to arrest the accused in the cheating case but he was absconding in the rape case. This accused of Dharuhera committed a fraud of 1 lakh 80 thousand taka on the pretext of sending it abroad.
When the police interrogated the accused strictly, it was found that a case of rape was also registered against accused Dharmendra and he was declared PO in 2015 in Rewari court. Now the police will try to remand the accused in court so that his criminal record can be investigated.
The case was filed in 2014
DSP Sanjeev Kumar said that the arrested accused Dharmendra Kumar is a resident of Aurangabad district of Bihar. Till 2014, he lived in Dharuhera village in Rewari. A girl filed a rape case against him in 2014. The police registered a case of rape against the accused and started searching for him, but he absconded as soon as the case was registered. The police could not find any clues about him. In 2015, he was also declared absconding by the court.
Caught after 9 years from Patna
Meanwhile, two months ago in Dharuhera, the accused extorted 1 lakh 80 thousand rupees in the name of sending a person abroad. The victim filed a case against Dharmendra at Dhruhera police station. During the investigation, the police reached Patna and arrested the accused Dharmendra. Investigation revealed that there is already a rape case against her, in which she has been declared a PO (absconder). Now the police will produce the accused in the court and remand them and try to check his criminal record.
