Shahjad Rao/Baghpat, Kotwali police in Baghpat busted an illegal pistol manufacturing factory. A large quantity of manufactured and semi-manufactured pistols was seized by the police after raiding the factory and arresting a smuggler who was making pistols. The arrested smuggler along with his accomplice used to manufacture pistols and smuggle them to many districts of Haryana, Delhi and UP.
According to the police investigation, the caught smugglers used to sell pistols for 2 to 5 thousand taka and pistols for 25 to 35 thousand taka. Currently, the police have arrested one accused and sent him to jail and intensified search for other smugglers in this gang. Baghpat SP Arpit Vijay gave information about the arms smugglers.
Earlier there was home delivery of pistols
The arrested accused is Naushad, a resident of Mehnwa village in Surajpur, Kotyali area of the city. Naushad along with his partner Sonu used to make pistols and after receiving the delivery he would deliver them door to door. During police interrogation, the accused Naushad said that he had supplied arms to many cities in UP, Delhi, Haryana and other states.
The police raided the village
The accused used to sell a pistol for 2 to 5 thousand rupees. Where pistols were sold for 28 to 30 thousand taka. In this way the smugglers were earning a fair amount of profit from the black trade of illegal weapons. Now the Nagar Kotyali police station got information about the supply of arms and raided the village and arrested the accused Naushad while searching the illegal arms factory.
Naushad has already gone to jail
The arrested accused Naushad has already gone to jail in several cases including murder. Giving information about the matter, Baghpat SP Arpit Vijay Bargia said that the arrested accused had sold arms to more than 25 people so far. After the police investigation, preparations are underway to launch an operation against them.
