ASP Mayank Mishra said, the family has accepted the murder on remand. He said that family members brought their daughter from her aunt’s house in the evening and tried to pacify her for several hours, but the girl was afraid and was talking about marrying her boyfriend. The family members became enraged and strangled him to death with a chunni around 12 midnight and took the body to the Nano car. Later in the night, the last rites were done in the crematorium. To erase all evidence, they take away the ashes left after the cremation at night.
SP Mayank Mishra said that during the investigation of the case, he also found a note, in which words like the suicide of the minor were written. Regarding the note, Mayank Mishra said, “From the language of the note, it seems that the girl was forced to write it.” The girl was severely tortured. He said the investigation revealed that the family members had planned to kill the girl.

SP Mayank Mishra said that investigation also revealed that the girl had already realized that the family members were going to kill her, due to which the girl ran away from home, but the family members rescued the girl. The murder was carried out that night. SP Mayank Mishra said the family members have committed a very serious crime. He warned the people of the society not to take the incident of honor killing lightly, we will take strict action against such criminals.

The girl is a minor, due to which the police came to know about the matter, so the police took both of them into custody and the boy was taken into police custody, then the girl was sent to Mahila Mandal.
