Patna. A member of a cheating gang has been arrested from Danapur by pretending to be a fake army colonel in the name of reinstatement in the army. Army Intelligence Unit and Danapur Thana Police arrested the army recruitment tout from Danapur Bus Stand in a joint operation. The arrested youth has been identified as Ravi Kumar alias Dharmendra, from whom original certificates of more than half a dozen youths including Matriculation, INTER have been recovered. The mastermind Sonu is absconding.
Please inform that Danapur police SI Mukesh Kumar said that the police arrested three touts – Shami Raj, Satish Kumar alias Sunny and Ranjan Kumar – from near Military Hospital on February 14 and sent them to jail. The army intelligence unit and the police started investigating the arrested army brokers in collaboration with the local army brokers.
Police said the gang was active for a long time and used to target youth appearing for army exams in Danapur. In the name of getting the candidates to pass the examination, the members of that circle kept the certificates and documents of the students and demanded money in return. When the matter came to light on February 14, Army Intelligence took it seriously and subsequently arrested one person with the help of the police.
