    A minor who suddenly disappeared from home, was rescued by the police within 24 hours


    Ramkumar Nayak/Kondagaon: The incident of abduction of a minor girl in Farsgaon police station under Kondagaon district of Chhattisgarh came to light on June 1. The petitioner lodged a report that her minor daughter had been abducted, on the basis of which the Farsgaon police started an immediate investigation.

    ‘Operation Muskan’ is being led by the newly appointed Superintendent of Police of Kondagaon, Yedulli Akshay Kumar, under which a team was formed to trace the minor girl, after she was abducted by village resident Sarban Kumar Shore on June 2. Chamai in Kondagaon area. The minor was rescued.

    Sub-Divisional Police Officer Anil Biswakarma said that a case of abduction was registered with Farasgaon police station regarding a girl, where the girl was rescued within 24 hours under Operation Muskan. Besides, the accused has also been taken into custody.

    After questioning the accused, sections of the POSCO Act, including rape, have been added, the police official said. He said that after the arrest, the accused was produced in the court and from there he was sent to jail. The accused has just been sent to judicial remand.
