New Delhi. The ODI series between Sri Lanka and South Africa (SL vs SA) has started in Colombo from Thursday. Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first. However, a strange thing happened in the 16th over of the Sri Lankan innings. Despite all the technology, the umpire could not catch the incident on the field and the bowler had to bowl 7 balls instead of 6.

Here, opener Aviska Fernando scored a century for Sri Lanka. He hit 118 off 115 balls. Fernando hit 10 fours and 2 sixes in his innings. Apart from him, Dhananjay de Silva scored 44 runs. Outside of that, Charith Asalanka played an innings of 72 off 62 balls. He hit 6 fours and 1 six. Sri Lanka lost wickets in 50 overs and scored 30,000 runs. For South Africa, Keshab Maharaj took two wickets, Aiden Markram and Tabrez Shamsi took one wicket each.
