New Delhi. By the third day of the fourth Test of the series against England, India had scored 270 for 3 (IND vs ENG 4th Test). Star opener Rohit Sharma scored a great century and Cheteshwar Pujara supported him a lot. Pujara was seen crying in pain but remained steadfast and completed half a century. At the stamp, captain Virat Kohli was playing 22 and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja 9 runs. The third day’s play, however, ended early due to bad lighting. India now have a 171-run lead.
The sky may be overcast but Rohit and Pujara put on 153 for the second wicket on a good pitch to bat. Rohit showed strong defense throughout the series but also presented scenes of his aggression. He completed his 8th Test century by hitting a high six over M 8th Ali. This was his first Test century on foreign soil.

Robinson breaks the pairing of Rohit and Pujara. He caught Rohit at the hands of Chris Oakes in the first ball of the 11th over of the innings. Rohit faced 256 balls and hit 1 four, 1 six. Pujara was caught by Main Ali at the end of the same over. Pujara made 61 off 127 balls with nine fours. He scored fifty runs for the 1st time in his Test career.
It took Rohit eight years and 43 Tests to score a century abroad. And he scored a century abroad, even in the toughest conditions in England, making it the most memorable of his eight centuries, for which he played 204 balls, including 12 fours and a six. Pujara was also playing him well at the other end, which helped Rohit to play his shots.

Earlier, KL Rahul showed aggression against the bowlers in the morning session. He batted well with Rohit for an 83-run partnership in the first wicket but missed out on a half-century.
