New Delhi. Controversy could bring a new year for Virat Kohli. Recently, the command of the ODI team has been taken back from him. He then said that the BCCI had informed him about this an hour and a half ago. Earlier, board president Sourav Ganguly had said that he had asked Kohli not to relinquish his T20 captaincy, otherwise the captaincy of the ODI team would be taken away from him. But Kohli has denied this. However, chief selector Chetan Sharma echoed Ganguly’s sentiments that everyone had asked him not to relinquish his T20 captaincy.
Speaking to media, Chetan Sharma said, “Virat Kohli had promised to step down as T20 captain before the T20 World Cup. We all asked him to consider this decision. Then the team was going to enter the big tournament. In such a situation we could not tell him that the captain of the limited overs would be the same. The decision to take over the captaincy of the ODI team from Virat Kohli is entirely up to the selectors.
At that time the test team has to be selected
Chetan Sharma said, “We had a good talk with Virat Kohli.” Then only the Test team was to be selected. I called him myself. But it is not good to have such a debate. We told him we would remove him from the ODI captaincy. Kohli is one of the most important players in the team. He said the dispute should end in the new year.

Good relationship between Kohli and Rohit
Former Indian cricketer Chetan Sharma has said that there is no problem between Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. We laugh when we hear the story of the conflict between them. “Our job is to select the best team,” he said. We do not want any kind of debate.
