The decision to take over the captaincy of the ODI team from Virat Kohli is entirely up to the selectors.

Chetan Sharma said, “We had a good talk with Virat Kohli.” Then only the Test team was to be selected. I called him myself. But it is not good to have such a debate. We told him we would remove him from the ODI captaincy. Kohli is one of the most important players in the team. He said the dispute should end in the new year.
