India is celebrating its 75th Independence Day in Har Ghar Tricolor Abhiyan.
The Prime Minister urged every Indian to hoist the flag at home between August 13-15.

New Delhi. The Government of India launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan’ as part of the 75th anniversary celebrations of Independence Day. Its purpose is to encourage people to display the tricolor with almost no restrictions. Under the campaign, citizens of India will hoist the tricolor at their homes for 3 days from 13th to 15th August. It is worth noting that India is celebrating Amrit Mohotsav to mark 75 years of independence.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also urged people to promote ‘Har Ghar Teranga’. So the sale of tricolor has also increased. To deliver tricolor to people, now postal department has started delivery of tricolor online. You can purchase the tricolor by visiting the ePostoffice portal, www.indiapost.gov.in.

Will be delivered from the nearest post office
Department of Posts has started this facility under ‘Har Ghar Triranga Abhiyan’. You can order the tricolor with payment by visiting either of the above two portals. After receiving the order, the postal department will supply you the flag (where the tricolor is) from your nearest post office. Note that this service has started from 1st August i.e. today. The price of the flag sold by the postal department is 25 rupees. Note that once an order is placed it cannot be cancelled.
You can also order from Flipkart, Amazon
You can order tricolor not only through post office but also through online shopping sites Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra. On these sites, you can get tricolor flags starting at around Rs.200. However, these prices may also change as August 15 approaches.
The Prime Minister called to join the campaign
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called for large number of citizens to participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tricolor Abhiyan’. Mentioning this in the radio show ‘Mann Ki Baat’, he said, “The tricolor unites us.” The Prime Minister said that all citizens should hoist the tricolor at their homes from August 13-15. He also said that citizens can put the tricolor on their social media display pictures from August 2 to 15.
