After that, Pooja returned to the southern film industry and the next time she returned to Bollywood, she got a chance to work with Akshay Kumar. The film directed by Farhad Samji was Housefull 4. The film managed to make money at the box office with a total collection of around Rs 296 crore worldwide. But, Housefull 4 also didn’t work for Pooja as it didn’t make any difference in her career growth. After this, she was seen opposite Ranveer Singh in her third Hindi film Circus, but this film flopped badly at the box office. Reportedly, the film could not even recover its production costs.
Pooja Hegde got another chance in Bollywood last year when she was seen opposite Baahubali fame actor Prabhas in Radhe-Shyam. The film was reportedly made at a cost of Rs 350 crore. It flopped at the box office and the producers lost around Rs 100 crore, according to reports.
Recently, Pooja Hegde was seen in the lead role in Salman Khan starrer Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. But, this time too luck was not on his side and the film received mixed reviews and flopped at the box office.
Talking about her film career down south, Pooja has worked in some very successful Tamil and Telugu movies. These included Rangasthalam with Rama Charan; Arvind Sametha and Veera Raghav with Junior NTR; With Maharishi Mahesh Babu; Ala Vaikunthapurramulu with Allu Arjuna, and Animal with Vijay.
