Arjun Kapoor’s mother Mona Shourie Kapoor died of multiple organ failure in 2012.
Arjun Kapoor took to his Instagram handle on Friday and wrote an emotional note remembering his late mother Mona Shourie Kapoor on her birth anniversary. Arjun shared a handwritten letter he wrote for his mother as a child. In the letter, Arjuna describes his mother who is ‘more valuable than gold’ and his ‘friends, brothers and father’.
In the caption of his post, Arjun mentioned how he was ‘running out of pictures’ but added that the letter reflected his childhood. A Villain Returns actor called his mother’s birthday the ‘best day of the year’ and promised his late mother that he would never give up.
“I’m running out of pictures now mom. I’m out of words so just saying something that brings out my inner child, maybe I’m out of energy and strength but today is your birthday and it’s the best day of the year for me, that’s why I promise you I’ll never give up wrote.
Soon after Arjun shared the post, fans and friends took to the comments section to wish him strength. Huma Qureshi, Rakul Preet Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, Karan Wahi and Amrita Arora dropped the red heart emoji. Gauhar Khan also wrote, ‘Allah’s blessings’.
Arjun Kapoor’s mother Mona Shourie Kapoor died of multiple organ failure in 2012. Since then, Arjun and his sister Anshula have often shared throwback photos with their late mother on several occasions on social media.
On the work front, Arjun Kapoor will next be seen in The Lady Killer opposite actor Bhumi Pednekar. The two will also share screen space in a romantic comedy titled Mere Husband Ki Bivi with actor Rakul Preet Singh.
