Sabers coach Granato, 2 players landed on the Covid-19 protocol

The Buffalo Sabers put coach Don Granato and two players under NHLs COVID-19 protocol after returning from a Sunday league break.

The team has canceled its scheduled practice and announced that Granato and forwards Dylan Kozens and Mark Jankowski are asymptomatic. The Sabers have been off since December 18, a day after a 3-2 overtime rate in Pittsburgh.

Buffalo entered the NHL’s vacation on Wednesday after Jeff Skinner, Jemgas Gergensons and Vinnie Hinostroza were included in the protocol.

The Sabers are set to host the New Jersey Devils on Wednesday.

The NHL on Friday postponed its 14-game schedule to return to the game. The teams were still scheduled to return on Sunday, with the games temporarily scheduled to resume on Tuesday.

The NHL entered its break with 10 of its 32 teams taking action breaks.
