Suicide: Raipur woman has illicit relationship with BJP leader, cheated Rs 2 crore with husband and brother-in-law

Rajnandgaon. Police have made a startling revelation in the suicide case of Sanjeev Jain, a well-known BJP leader and contractor from Rajnandgaon district in Chhattisgarh. Police have cited the intention of cheating with honeytrap as the reason behind inciting the BJP leader to commit suicide. Police claimed that the main accused in the case was a woman named Mansi Yadav, a resident of Raipur. According to police, Mansi Yadav befriended Sanjeev Jain through a phone call. After that the process of blackmailing started by increasing the relationship. The whole conspiracy was hatched by the woman’s husband and brother-in-law. The accused had swindled around Rs 1.75 crore from BJP leader Sanjeev Jain.


Sanjeev Jain, a 5-year-old BJP leader and Rajnandgaon contractor, was rescued from the gallows on 10 August. On September 11, the police released a large amount of information in this case. Police have arrested Mansi Yadav and her husband Lalit Singh in connection with the famous suicide. Another accused in the case, Mansi Yadav’s brother-in-law Kaushal Singh, is still absconding. Lalit Singh and Kaushal Singh are originally from Uttar Pradesh. It is said that the three accused had been blackmailing Sanjeev Jain for the last 8 years. The three of them prepared the script of the conspiracy
Rajnandgaon Additional SP Pragya Meshram said the accused had leaked big information during interrogation. The blackmailing script was prepared by Mansi Yadav, her husband and brother-in-law. Under this, Mansi made a call on Sanjeev Jain’s mobile phone and then the call was cut off saying wrong number. After that there was a constant call and similarly Mansi befriended Sanjeev. This friendship over the phone gradually turned into love and then the two began to form a physical relationship.

Blackmailing started again
Police said Mansi, her husband and brother-in-law started blackmailing Sanjeev after he had an affair with Jain. Mansi Yadav gradually transferred about Rs 2.5 crore from Sanjeev Jain to his account. Mansi talked about his government job, bought cars and houses to get money. Police said Sanjeev had been struggling to meet Mansi’s demands for eight years. The accused used to talk about the relationship in his house and blackmail him in other ways for not paying. Annoyed, Sanjeev Jain committed suicide. Police arrested the accused on the basis of suicide notes and bank accounts.

Mansi’s husband lives in Rajnandgaon
According to police, Mansi Yadav is a resident of Raipur who is married to Lalit Singh, a resident of Meerut. Lalit Singh was a constable in the 8th Battalion Rajnandgaon and his brother-in-law Kaushal Singh lived in Meerut in Uttar Pradesh. It is said that he came to know about Sanjeev Jain while he was in Rajnandgaon. After Sanjeev’s suicide, Basantapur police was investigating the whole matter. Police arrested Mansi Yadav from Raipur when she came to her house to celebrate Tija and her husband was also with her.
