    Even after withdrawing money from the ATM, these mischievous miscreants of Mewati gang would transfer it from the bank again

In Delhi, two miscreants of the interstate Mewati gang have been arrested who not only withdrew money from ATMs but also transferred the same amount back from banks to their accounts. A special staff team of Delhi Police South District has arrested two miscreants of the inter-state Mewati gang.

    These miscreants used to defraud the bank by withdrawing cash from ATMs through debit cards of various banks and demanding not to withdraw money from the banks. The accused are Akhtar Hossain alias Raheel and Irshad. Both are residents of Mewat. 1 debit card of different banks, 2 pistols, 2 live cartridges and 1 car were recovered from them.

    Giving information about the matter, DCP of South Delhi Atul Kumar Tagore said that Constable Yogendra of the Special Task Force had received information that he had come to Saket area with his car weapon. Information has been shared with senior officials. ACP Bijendra Singh Bidhuri then formed a team led by Special Staff Inspector Atul Tyagi. SI Ashok Kumar Anil Kumar, Head Constable Sunil Kumar, Constable Anup Meena, Ashok Jogendra and Akhilesh were present. Based on the information received from the sources, the Special Staff Police team set a trap in Saket area and caught the accused.

    During interrogation, the accused said that these people used a special method to withdraw fraudulent money from ATMs. They targeted only those ATMs where there were both deposits and withdrawals.

    Defendants said they would hold the deposit slot after the money was withdrawn, causing the ATM to shut down service for some time. He would demand from the bank for the money withdrawn on this basis, which the bank would later deposit in his account. Police have arrested the accused and filed a case against them and started further investigation.
