New Delhi. Indian Railways has appointed Minister of State for Railways for the country’s first bullet train running between Mumbai and Ahmedabad and other pending projects in Maharashtra. State Minister for Railways Rao Saheb Dadara has also reached Maharashtra to review all the projects. They will review all projects locally.
Many projects are underway in Maharashtra, including the bullet train of Indian Railways. Some of these projects are stuck somewhere, due to which the progress of the project is slow. The most important of these projects is the high speed bullet train. The Modi government’s dream is to run bullets in the country. That is why the PMO is constantly monitoring. In this project, work is going on very fast in Gujarat, the station has started here, but the pace is very slow in Maharashtra. According to the Railway Ministry, about 100 per cent land has been acquired in Gujarat, but in Maharashtra, less than one-third, or only 2 per cent, has been acquired.
The government is now trying to focus on construction in Maharashtra. Because the progress of construction in Gujarat is right. But if the land is not acquired in Maharashtra, then the pace shown in Gujarat will not work. Although the central government is preparing to run the bullet train by 2023, it may be too late to start due to Maharashtra. But the railway ministry is trying to launch it before the 202224 elections. For this reason, the Minister of State for Railways has been entrusted with the task of resolving the problems faced by the Maharashtra High Speed Train Project.
Look at the bullet train
About 1,100 hectares of land is required for the construction of the 508 km long high speed corridor. The corridor will pass through districts of Gujarat and districts of Maharashtra. 12 stations are being constructed in this corridor. The cost of the project is estimated at Rs 1.08 lakh crore. The bullet train will have a speed of 320 kmph and will be designed at 350 kmph. The bullet train will reach Ahmedabad from Mumbai in two hours.
