Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, like other countries, has involved ordinary people in the government’s fight against COVID-19. Speaking at an awards function organized by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India here, Shah said that the epidemic situation was fluctuating in many countries and India was slowly coming out of it. Many governments around the world have fought against COVID-19 but in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured that people will join the government’s fight against the epidemic. Even now, many countries are reporting ups and downs in the case of Kovid-19, but India is gradually coming out of it, Shah said.
The Union Minister further said that everyone in the world has expressed concern over India’s population and existing health infrastructure. However, we have done less damage than the Covid-19, he added.
He said India’s economic growth was promising when it came out of COVID-19. The current growth rate is in single digits but I can assure you that it will be in double digits by March 22. Because we were trying to win the war against Kovid-19 but we had the economic reforms. One needs to imagine the various challenges posed by the epidemic, Shah added.
