Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey is a “departing player” and could leave Juventus this month, Turin Giants coach Massimiliano Allegri said on Wednesday.

Former Arsenal star Ramsay has dropped out for Juve, having played less than 100 minutes in Serie A this season.

The 31-year-old has been linked with a possible comeback and has moved to Premier League side Everton and Saudi-backed Newcastle.

A UK media report on Tuesday further stated that Burnley had seen a procedure rejected by Ramsay.

“Aaron Ramsey is back today after a holiday to work in England, but he is a departing player,” Allegri said before Juventus’ Serie A game against Napoli on Thursday.

Ramsey, who has played 71 international matches for Wales, joined Juventus from Arsenal in a free transfer in 2019.

He has scored six goals in 69 games for the club.

Allegri also denied reports that Spanish striker Alvaro Morata could leave for Barcelona.

“I told Alvaro that he was staying here, that he was not leaving Juventus, the end of the story,” Allegri said.

Morata has netted seven times in all competitions this season.
