4 overground operatives of Jaish terrorists detained in J&K’s Pulwama

SRINAGAR: Security forces on Tuesday arrested four suspected underground operatives (OGW) of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JM) terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said. The arrested are Jubayer Gul, Adil Fayaz Gani, Basit Ali and Shaheed Nabi Pandit, they said.

“Working on specific inputs, a joint team of police, army and CRPF arrested four terrorist associates linked to the banned terrorist organization JeM,” a police spokesman said.

“Criminal equipment, weapons and ammunition, including a pistol and a hand grenade, were recovered from them,” he said.

During the preliminary investigation, the spokesman said it was revealed that the arrested terrorist associates were in contact with JM commanders and were involved in transporting arms and ammunition. He said the accused provided shelter and other logistical support to terrorists active in the Sambura and Pampore areas of Avantipora.
