    SAFF U-19 Women’s Championship: India reached final of SAF U-19 Women’s Football Championship


    Dhaka. The Indian team won the SAFF Under-19 Women’s Championship on Sunday for its strong performance.SAF U-19 Women’s Championship) Has reached the final. India beat Nepal 1-0 in the last match of the group stage. Priyanka Devi scored the only goal of the match for India in 6 minutes. India’s head coach Alex Ambrose has made two changes to his starting XI since the previous match against Bangladesh, replacing Kritina Devi and Santosh with Neetu Linda and Linda Kom.

    The Indian women’s team attacked early but the team failed to capitalize on many of its opportunities. Captain Shilki Devi created an opportunity on the left side in the 19th minute and pushed the ball towards Sumati but Sumati could not convert it into a goal. From the beginning of the match, the Indian team put pressure on Nepal’s defense.

    Amisha missed goals in the 36th minute and Priyanka in the 42nd minute. India’s dominance continued in the second half and Priyanka scored in the 8th minute to give the team the lead, which lasted till the end of the match. The final match of the tournament will be played on Wednesday.
