    Delhi FC beat Maharaj FC 6-0 in I-League qualifiers, yet could not advance to the next round


    Bangalore. Delhi FC beat Madan Maharaj FC 6-0 in the I-League qualifiers on Saturday. After this great match at the Bangalore Football Stadium, Delhi FC ended their campaign brilliantly. Delhi FC scored 3-3 in both halves of the match.

    For Delhi, Nikhil Mali and Gagandeep Bali scored 2-2 and Sergio Barboza and captain Anwar Ali scored 1-1. With this victory, Delhi has four points in three matches, while Madan Maharaj’s team has not had any success in an equal number of matches.

    Even after the win, Delhi FC failed to qualify for the I-League. “We are happy with what we have learned from this tournament,” said Delhi head coach Surinder Singh after the match. Thanks to AIFF, Karnataka State Association and the support staff who have contributed to the success of the tournament.
