Chennai. In Tamil Nadu, the opposition AIADMK former chief minister J. In Jayalalithaa’s multilingual biopic ‘Thalaivi’, the late leader of the party M.G. Ramachandran (MG Ramachandran) and Jayalalithaa have objected in some scenes. The team has demanded the removal of these scenes from the film starring Kangana Ranaut. The film, directed by AIADMK senior leader and former minister D Jayakumar AL Vijay, was seen at a cinema hall here. He said that some of the scenes shown in the film about MGR and Jayalalithaa are not real and strongly claimed that by omitting these scenes, the film has been well made, for which a lot of hard work has been done and it has been shared with party supporters and common people. The man will get a good response.
This picture was released on Friday. Jayakumar said that, for example, a scene shows that Ramachandran (MGR) first wanted to get a ministerial post in the DMK government and the late M Karunanidhi was denied it. He asserted that the MGR had never wanted such a position. He said the MGR was then in the DMK, whose founder, the late CN Annadurai, was the first regional political party in India to take over the rule of a state in independent India and overthrow the Congress in the 1967 elections.
Jayakumar said Ramachandran left the DMK when Karunanidhi took charge of the party. Ramachandran formed AIADMK in 1972. The DMK chief replaced Annadurai as chief minister after his death in 1969.
‘It would be better to remove the view. ‘
D Jayakumar said the picture showed Ramachandran looking for a ministerial seat after Annadurai’s death, when Karunanidhi took charge of the regime, but that was not true. He claimed that MGN had proposed Karunanidhi to be the chief ministerial candidate after Annadurai’s death. “It would be better to remove the scene,” he said.
He said that a few more scenes claimed that Jayalalithaa was in touch with the late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi without MGR’s knowledge, which shows that she was going against Ramachandran. At the same time, another scene shows that Ramachandran is not giving importance to him which is not true. ‘Therefore these scenes should be removed,’ he said.
The former speaker had reminisced about his travels with Jayalalithaa since 1982 and his old memories were refreshed after watching the film. “It’s a well-made film and if some scenes are removed, it will be a big hit,” he said. In the film, actress Kangana Ranaut played the role of Jayalalithaa and actor Arvind Swami played the role of MGR.
