    Warning! Thieves are active in the Delhi Metro, thus purses and mobile phones are used during rush hour

    New Delhi. If you travel on the Delhi Metro, be careful. Nowadays, during the overflowing crowd on the Delhi Metro, a gang is active in hand washing mobile phones. A team of Delhi Police Metro Unit has arrested three such rogue mobile thieves from whom iPhones and 11 other expensive mobile phones were recovered. The arrested accused are Amit, Rishi and Pradeep, residents of Sultanpuri and Nangloi areas.

    According to Jitendra Mani, DCP, Metro Unit, Delhi Police, all the accused were involved in theft of mobile phones in the metro, keeping their eyes open. Head Constable Jagadish and Constable Sunita’s police team under the supervision of SHO Suraj Van of Netaji Subhash Place Metro Station have succeeded in arresting all the three. On December 16, he stole a man’s iPhone and mobile phone from Peragari Bahadurgarh route. Police have registered an FIR in the case at Netaji Subhash Place Metro Station Police Station.

    According to the interrogation, the accused hurriedly targeted the passengers while getting on or off the metro. At this time they take out mobiles or purses from the pockets of metro passengers. Amit changed the target and blocked it and the sage would take out the mobile or purse from his pocket in the blink of an eye. Pradeep then made him disappear from the scene. They are all from poor families. Their targets are Red Line and Green Line Metro.
